After the Olympics I had several customer bring me memorabilia from the games. The torch was especially complicated because we wanted to make it look like it was floating in the frame. I won't tell how I did it, but it worked. My most involved frames were from those who brought me pins they collected. It would have been easy to just mount them on a black mat and put an engraved plate underneath, but why not go crazy and really showcase the pins and make them memorable.
A long time ago in a small town far, far away a father would draw little sketches on a paper during church to keep his wiggly daughter quiet. She soon wanted to do what he was doing and took over the sketching. Thus began my interest in art. Little did I know as I studied Graphic Design at BYU that I would take the concepts I learned there and transfer them into a business that has been deeply satisfying over the last 21 years.
I love to interact with my customers and learn about them and the items that they bring me to frame. More often than not, the items they bring have a special meaning which helps me to create a design that enhances the presentation of the memorabilia. My ability to handcarve designs in the matboard is another special service that I offer. I have framed many unique items over the years insomuch that my motto is "You name it, I frame it"
